Peirce Engineering designed 69 steel sheet pile cofferdams – on land and in open water with depths up to 40 feet – and 3 steel sheet pile bulkheads for the NJDOT Rt. 52 Causeway connecting Somers Point and Ocean City, New Jersey. Client: Route 52 Constructors.
New Richardson Pump Station
Temporary Sheeting Project - New Richardson Pump Station Temporary, 90 feet diameter circular sheet pile cofferdam driven to rock with 2 levels of bracing approximately 42 feet deep required for pump station construction. Client: Kuhn Construction, Inc.
Comcast Technology Center
Temporary excavation support for Comcast Innovation Technology Center in Philadelphia. The 45 feet deep excavation consisted of double wide flange soldier beams and timber lagging that was braced or tiedback at multiple levels. Client: D’Angelo Bros. Inc.
Permanent Wall Project – Art Museum of Philadelphia Parking Garage
Permanent soldier beam and lagging wall for a proposed underground parking garage and support for the surcharge pressure from a 30 feet high MSE wall. Client: JPC Group, Inc.
